We've Got Game!

RDM athletics is back at it this summer, this time competing in a basketball league organized by NYC Social.

The RDM team has been involved in sport competitions in the past, and this summer is no exception. Our all-star team, the Reyes De la Montaña (Kings of the Hill) is made up of RDM-ers from several our production and EAP, software technology, and sales departments.

In their first four games of the season, the Reyes De la Montaña demonstrated the teamwork and dedication RDM has always been known for, winning 2 games and tying once.  The season is still underway and from what we've seen so far, it looks like its going to be a great one!

Check back with the RDM blog for updates on the Reyes De la Montaña and Like Us on Facebook to see photos from the games.

RDM's Finance Manager Brushes with Kindness

When the RDM team isn’t busy measuring the buildings that make up the NYC skyline or taking photos of them, they’re out giving back to the community.

This month RDM’s finance manager Julia Terry dedicated an entire day to help revitalize the Dykman Senior Center housing complex in Inwood, as part of Habitat for Humanity’s Brush with Kindness program.  Along with a group of volunteers, Julia painted rooms and created murals throughout the center to help brighten the space for its residents.

RDM introduced RDM Gives Back last year.  The program encourages all employees to volunteer time with a charitable organization of their choosing. Since its introduction, RDM team members have volunteered over 40 combined hours to local organizations.

About Brush with Kindness:
Habitat’s Brush with Kindness program enlists volunteers to revitalize community spaces—including playgrounds, community centers, and public parks—in New York City. Volunteers mostly paint rooms and murals but sometimes work can include light construction.  Find out more on their website.

RDM Employees Volunteer for NY Cares Day

RDM's Blake Grosch (VP - Sales & Marketing) and Catherine Hockstein (Office Manager) participated in New York Cares Day - Fall; an annual event where more than 6,000 volunteers help create a more welcoming environment for 90 New York City schools, on Saturday, October 13th.

Across the city, volunteers and school-communities helped transform schools by painting classrooms, creating murals, planting gardens, organizing libraries and designing outdoor play areas; for more than 1 million NYC children to utilize.

Blake and Cat volunteered at the School of Integrated Learning; a middle school in Crown Heights, where they spent the afternoon painting murals to be hung around the school.

The effort is part of RDM’s Give Back initiative which was announced in early September. The program encourages all RDM employees to volunteer their time with an organization that is close to them.
